Principal's Message

On behalf of the faculty and staff of Pembroke Meadows Elementary School, I welcome you to the 2020-2021 school year. Maureen Fanelli serves as our assistant principal. Our leadership abilities, combined with the talents of a creative and highly qualified faculty and staff will ensure students are challenged by diverse, significant learning opportunities designed to stimulate creativity, problem-solving, and overall intellectual growth.

We welcome your assistance in preparing our children for tomorrow’s world. Any effort you can provide will be greatly appreciated. To help you assist your child in having a successful year I ask that you consider the following:

* Communicate frequently with your child’s teacher.

* Ask your child about the school day with open-ended questions like, “What did you like best today?”

* Establish a daily study time at home with a special place for studying that is supplied with pencils, papers, paper, markers, etc.

* Read to or with your child every day for at least 20 minutes. No one is ever too old for a story or to learn about nature.

All of us at Pembroke Meadows Elementary are committed to continuous school improvement through our accreditation process. Utilizing school assessment data, the Instructional Leadership Team has identified three school wide improvement goals for our Plan for Continuous Improvement (PCI).

I encourage you to volunteer in our school, to join the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), and to attend school events. After all, it’s a parent’s enthusiasm that inspires children to do their best. In fact, one of the biggest indicators of a child’s success is parent involvement. At Pembroke Meadows Elementary we appreciate the nurturing and guidance you provide your child in helping him/her develop a love for learning.

The faculty and staff of Pembroke Meadows is most fortunate to have the opportunity to take our students to the edge of their learning and to help them be the best for the world. Please do not hesitate to contact the school at 648-3360 should you require information that may not be found on our school website.
